Does converting burn my LLM tokens?▾
No. Parsing runs on our own document engine — not on your OpenAI or Anthropic budget. You don't need an API key. You only spend tokens when you feed the resulting Markdown to your model, and clean output (no page headers, footers, page numbers or OCR noise) means fewer of them than messy text dumps.
Is this PDF to Markdown converter free?▾
Yes. Each verified email account receives five lifetime cloud conversions, up to 30 pages and 30 MB per file. After those five, paid conversion credits will be available.
How accurate is the conversion?▾
Documents are parsed with a vision-language model that scores 95+ on the OmniDocBench document parsing benchmark. Headings, tables, lists, formulas and multi-column layouts come out structurally correct.
Are math formulas and tables preserved?▾
Yes. Math formulas are emitted as LaTeX inside $…$, and tables are converted to proper Markdown tables — two things most PDF text extractors destroy.
What happens to my file?▾
Your file is sent to our processing engine to generate the Markdown. Keep this in mind for highly sensitive documents.
Does it work on scanned PDFs?▾
Yes, scanned documents are supported through OCR as long as the scan quality is reasonable. Digital (text-selectable) PDFs give the best results.
